Learning coping skills for big feelings isn't just knowing how to use them - they need to be practiced so that they come easier when they are needed. I suggest practicing Riley's new skills with your children through reading the book but also utilizing the pages in the back to "help you help them."

Today's story is My Body Sends a Signal by Natalia Maguire - this book is FULL of great ways to introduce kids to the idea that ALL emotions are valid. It gives helpful hints on how to react to their Anger and that it is perfectly normal to feel it.
Today on Moody Story Time we read Angry from the Heinemann Read and Learn series. Moody and I really like how this book teaches all about feeling Angry and why it’s okay to feel it.
